Other events:

40 Days for Life
I just thought that 40 Days for Life's Autumn campaign may be of interest. They Prayer outside the Twickenham Abortion clinic (which was the former Catholic Convent of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate) from 8am to 8pm each day for 40 days from this Wednesday 24th September until 2 November and help women who decide to keep their baby with adoption, financial and accommodation support!

The words of Blessed Mother Teresa Noble Prize Winner: "I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts

Wednesday 3rd of September. Daniels Anniversary Mass

Dear all,
we are back from holidays!

Corpus Christi prayer group

There will also be a Mass closer to Daniels anniversary on Friday the 12th of September at 7pm, at St Mary of the Angel's Church, Moorhouse Road, Bayswater, W2 5DJ. Fr Stephen Wang will be the celebrant. I think it will also be a great comfort to Jill and Alan for us to attend this Mass and to join them in praying for his soul.

Other news and social events
is going to be a night of music and art.  Brilliant Catholic musicians such as Charley Pinfold, Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir, brilliant poet Sarah De Nordwall. Plus lots more!

Also shameless plug: I’ve made limited edition screen prints for this and will be exhibiting on the night.  The prints will be signed and numbered - the idea is that you buy one and give it away as a gift.  100% profit goes to Life charity. Win Win.  They are £20 each. If you’ve got a gift to give (weddings, birthday, christmas?) get in touch.

Thanks and God bless,
Simone

I'm reposting this to encourage 'young' Catholics to join 50,000 others at Medjugorje later this month for the Medjugorje youth prayer festival for an opportunity to get to know Our Lady; many people who have come here have found it a very inspiring place. Jonathan Baylis is organising a pilgrimage to the festival. If you haven't been to Medugorje, it's highly recommended and many blessings come from a visit. The pilgrimage costs £475 including flights, accommodation, breakfast and dinner. There are still places available. For more info call John on 01423 546 175

3) Evangelium Conference, August 1-3, the Oratory School, Oxfordshire

If you are ever brave enough to engage with an aggressive secularist on why the Catholic Church is the answer to the problems of humanity, Evangelium will empower you to provide answers. It will also be a great fun and relaxing weekend. Evangelium is an initiative that aims to explain the Catholic faith in the context of the modern world. It is a series of talks and workshops spread out over a weekend in the glorious surroundings of the Oratory School near Reading. One of the really fun things about it is that it is really varied spiritual and cultural exploration of the Faith and the social programme will hopefully cater for all tastes.

That's all folks,

Damian
